Prehistoric sounding sounds

We may not (?) have mammoths and dinosaurs walking the earth today, but that doesn't mean we can't sometimes hear sounds from amazing creatures that seem like they belong in prehistoric times. From crickets to exotic frogs, we all occasionally stop and say "what was that?" as we are out walking the dog or stumbling home from a great party - right?

Next time you have one of these experiences, please record what you hear and share it in the Sound Map. It doesn't matter if you don't know exactly what it is - maybe someone else in The Smalls community can help shed some light on what it is you have heard?

Besides - prehistoric sounds (or well, sounds that seem prehistoric may be more correct to say) can make excellent special sound effects for horror films, or add bounce to cool cutting edge music tracks. So go on and share please, you could make a difference to someone else's artistic project.

See you around Street Sounds!
