Submission Dates

Early Bird Submissions: 22nd April - 5th May | Fee - £10 

Regular Submissions: 6th May - 16th June | Fee - £18 

Late Submissions: 17th June - 22nd July | Fee - £22

NO PLAYGROUND FOR LITTLE COWBOYS by Carl Rock

No Playground for Little Cowboys is a genre bending adventure comedy told through bold, visual storytelling.

HOOKED by Stuart Howe

Through the story of Jaeseung, who is seeking an answer to his unhappiness, Hooked uses imagination, tenderness, pain, and truth, to deliver subtle, breathtaking drama.

OIL & WATER by Gemma Atkinson (Fat Rat Films)

Playing against the myth of the east end hard man, Oil & Water is a Shakespearean tragedy in the real world and a haunting 21st century portrait.

YOUNG GOLD by Michelle Phillips and Johannes Conrad (YUKIKO)

Packed with surrealist-inspired ideas, this visual interpretation of Mechanical Bride's track Young Gold, is an atmospheric, creative masterpiece.

The Smalls Film Festival 2012 Grand Prize

In recognition of courageous and extraordinary filmmaking, The Smalls Film Festival 2012 Grand Prize was awarded to HOOKED by Stuart Howe. Sponsored by Emerse and Videoseeding.com, the Grand Prize offers its winner targeted online advertising and marketing grants valued at £10,000. The prize also includes promotional and editorial support from The Smalls team, as well as use of The Smalls editorial suite and studio.
