“In The Basement” is a compilation of damaged footage found in a basementin Basra, Iraq. The film is the story of an Iraqi video blogger who getstrapped in his basement after an American artillery shell destroys his familyhome. Unable to maintain contact with friends and loved ones, he lives in astate of constant fear of the house‟s foundation collapsing, and growsincreasingly paranoid thanks to impending starvation. In an effort tomaintain his sanity, the „blogger‟ clings to the only routine he has left, andstarts to voice his anger against the invading American forces through hisvideo camera. The film depicts a complete turnaround in his personality –his liberal self being replaced by a fanatic religious zeal thirsting forrevenge.

It was since used by Littlewoods as a catalogue mail order warehouse until 1992, it has largely been vandalised since then. Despite looking fabulous she becomes a spoilt and mean young lady. Her father grows ever more weary of her constant cravings and finally decides he can’t take anymore of her behavior. When Jenny asks for yet another gift he fights the urge to give in and says no. Ever threatening to leave him she finally does. Without her Father’s love and wallet Jenny ends up on the streets attired in beautiful clothes but with nowhere to go. On the streets Jenny doesn’t last long and the tale ends with her father having to identify her in a morgue, both of them having lost out to her addiction to fashion.

“Forever Haunted” a mother’s favorite holiday takes an unexpected turn when one of her closes friends Blair played by Kandice Winfield inherits a necklace from a great aunt. Every Halloween night Ann played by Carri Nichols puts up a haunted garage for the neighborhood. On this night Ann decides to change it up a little and find a spooky chant to play while people walk through the haunted garage. Unknown to Ann the chant found on the internet and the necklace of her friend Blair has an unimaginable connection. Blair needing an additional piece to add to her costume decides to wear the necklace to Ann’s haunted garage. While participating as a character in the garage the chant and necklace release demons in what used to be a playful scare for the neighborhood into something that won’t go away and now a killing ground for Ann’s family.

A little challenge by my bro prompted this short. I wrote it in one night, shot it in about eight hours over the course of two days and spent many many hours editing it. It is very compressed so the quality is a little compromised. I used a little Kodak Zi8 to shoot with. Given it's limitations I am pleased with the overall look. My wonderful actors had no time to prepare for this and they came up huge for me.

The Krome 'Until the End' Music Video was an entirely 2D animated video (written, directed and animated by myself), created on a very small budget. The video features a custom designed tarot card deck that tells the life story of a man and key moments of his life. With the video my intent was to focus on the progression from life to death and then the concept of his life living on after the fact. The video was received with great enthusiasm by the band and their fans and have since been distributed online as well as played on MuchMusic, Canada's Music TV channel.

In India, usually women are not allowed to fulfill their need and rights. This harshness on women goes up till an extent that they are not allowed to live their lives. Here, there is an ancient ritual that is called ‘Female Infanticide’, also known as ‘Dudh Piti. Females are discriminated and neglected for basic nutrition, education and living standards. While still in the womb, the mother is forced to kill her girl child. The female child is killed and thrown into the trashcan. She is killed even before she has the opportunity to open her eyes. Parents, who are held on the same place as ‘GOD’ are the ones responsible for the death of their female child. The Difference between ancient age and modern age is only that the technology has been changed, but old mindsets and custom still exist.

After several years weaving in and out of the creative world (Recessions, University etc etc) I have had to bridge the employment gaps in the rewarding, inspiring and professionally fulfilling "service sector" (can you sense the sarcasm?) By this I refer to call centres. Less4loadz is a short insight into the mountain of crazy antics, bad middle management, incredible characters and humour and quite simply the culture of what many refer to as the modern workplace, or, to some (me included) the 21st century work house. Take a look, let me know what you think. This video is much more than just the creative rant of a disgruntled graduate, it takes a snapshot of a very real working world where logic and common sense is out the window, intelligence and ability is quashed and the word "yes" is all that qualifys you to authority and responsibility, not ability. In a new day and age were technology rapidly takes hold of the masses attention one may lose their self trying to find purpose. This short film, “An end to Mundane life”, takes a front seat to what a rebellious, fed up citizen has in mind. He wants to set things straight on all levels of society and no amount of currency will bring him down. He is a spoken-word rap artist and we see him taking a copy of his album and nailing it to the city-hall door. This may be his way of posting a JEREMIAD, or a warning; who knows. The choppy video play reveals some of his anguish and frustration he is holding back. In society we are labeled normal and soon as we break the everyday NORM we are seen as crazy. The old saying, don’t judge a book by its cover, couldn’t be truer. This man is not crazy he is just fed up with letting people rule his life, he is ready to step up and make a change… “Lead by example!”

The film is based off of the idea that something is easily forgotten or dismissed as unimportant if it is not in our direct view. It's not too late to switch your train of thought to let the abandoned be observed. I played with that thought even further and had the red string act as this intense feeling of manipulation. Shortly after the characters are covered in the red string-they are covered in paperbags-again with the: out of sight, out of mind theme. Slightly refering backwards to the idea that once the mind is convinced something is unimportant-it blocks it out. However, towards the end of the film, a character displays enough courage to defy popular belief and is able to break free-by taking off the paper bag. Then the character lets out a call and two others follow. Inbetween I jump back into two characters in the woods who are still covered in the paper bags. They represent those who are too stubborn to see things a different way. Then, the three characters who took off
