Hi squadronfilms,

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems. Could you be a bit more specific with the issues you have.

Do you have a film I could see as an example?
Do you get some sound or none at all?
What type of file did you upload, do you know the audio codec you use?

With this info I can help investigate your issues.

Many Thanks,
Ady

www.youtube.com/pdfilms there you will see the film. When I upload it to here the music is taken off and only the sound effects play. I used windows movie maker to do this film so what ever codecs they use.

Hi squadronfilms,

Thank you for the link to youtube, but unfortunatly I need to look at the film here on The Smalls. That way I can compare the original film with the one converted for playing on the site.

It seems odd that only sound effects are playing but not music. Usually a movie file has two audio channels (stereo: left + right). If you have assigned the music to one channel (lets say left) and your sound effects to another (right), and there was a problem decoding one of the channels, then it may be possible that you would not here the music.

Movies use the same audio codec for both channels, so it would be unusual that only one would be decoded but not the other. Perhaps the film was corrupted when it was uploaded.

Many Thanks,
Ady

Hi squadronfilms,

If the trailer was produced / created in the same was as the other film, then I can only assume that there must have been some form of data coruption when the film was uploaded.

Good to hear things are working now.
