The Lord's Prayer

Most well known verse in the English language. Over 500 years it has lost a lot of its meaning. I wanted to see what happened if I brought it up to date with footage from my old vhs collection. In a world of too much information where technology has become almost a new religion, its message comes through -  small is beautiful. This piece was not meant to offend, only provoke.

 

Inspiration Statement

 

Stole the idea from Johnny Thunders. He used to weave the words into stories and songs about New York lowlifes in the 70s. I wondered what would happen if I did the same but with pictures. Incidentally Patti Palladin who reads the Prayer was a long-time friend and associate of Johnny Thunders. I'm a big fan of both and was thrilled when she agreed to do this.
