Its basically a recording from an old Atari Linx  thrown 2 metres across a room.

The audio is sequenced recordings from various messed up snippets of mp3 files.

On a side note there is a great project by BNJMN™ GAULON called Corrupt™ - its basically data corruption software built using Pro55ing.

I find it funny how technical glitches influence music and design. I remember when I heard a CD skip for the first time, and immediately thought of how it could be incorporated into a track. I suppose now with digital TV and video encodings we’re going to see digital glitches much more in visual design. Have you seen the ghosting that happens on a corrupted mpeg file? Pretty cool.
