yssyss, i believe the answer to your question would be they used a body mounted camera (SnorriCam), angled toward the actor. this is usually a technique to give a very raw and personal vantage point to the audience to capture all of the nuances of the character in a particularly introspective moment. You can find tutorials to build your own by searching: DIY SnorriCam.
I love it. Pure and Simple and Uplifting. This small is much better than a lot of mainstream features. Job Well Done!!!
