I was one of the founding members of pan European art collective Against All Odds. After graduating from Central St Martin’s where I studied graphic design and illustration, I started shooting shorts and directing animation, often inspired by my friends, neighbourhood and the people it contained.
This led to a 2 month tour across the United States where I shot a video diary, designed tee shirts and sleeves for the now defunct band The Gloria Record. This experience combined with my love of the French New Wave and cinema in general, made me realize that directing was a natural progression from my illustration and design work.
As well as directing I design a lot of T-Shirts for clients including Jakes Clothing, and worked for tons of newspapers and magazines. The moving image allows relatively small graphic ideas to grow bigger, and directing takes those concepts that may have well been finalized in print and gives them a dimension and depth that print can not.
