Cool. Feels kind of Lynchian.  Saw you're working on a feature too – if this short is a preview of your style then I can't wait to see more.

love the nightmarish style and the way you've made the entire piece kind of unsettling without being uncomfortable. it's got real, genuine texture. checked out your site, saw two other shorts there that looked cool. we gonna see those here at the smalls soon too?

Lovely. like a twisted, urban fairytale. Want to see more. Anyone know where this was shot? RichardV

Original, brilliant, brave and emotive work here in the same breath as David Lynch from Director Rob Hurtt.
I really enjoyed its barefaced cheek and the concepts it so confidently challenges.

Makes you want to be there. I loved the sounds: seagulls, wind, waves, door, clock, cans, the "whale sounds" of the wave man...without the "blurp" it could make  good ambience/relaxation "music".

Wave is indeed a very clever piece of filmaking by Rob Hurtt, one of London's finest and most unpredictable independent film makers.  His edgy, thought-provoking, unconventional style continues here, in fine form.  Wave is a well photgraphed and directed quirky love story emerging from within a unique and unexpected theme; ... blind love blossoming within a dysfunctional family living in a remote beach hut surrounded by a bleak and dreary environment of sand and sea.  If you found Wave interesting, take a look at Mr. Hurtt's latest film "Soho Sunset", a slick, tight story that doesn't miss a beat.  You can view it at  Britfilms.tv.
