You know what, I really enjoyed this. I loved the mix of media which was used to advance the story rather than as a stylistic flourish. The lyricism of the script was cool and it had a kind of Wes Anderson meets Alan Moore feel to the story.
Charming and quietly compelling. Nice job.
This is really nicely crafted. The narration fits perfectly and the mixture of film and animation is perfectly done.
Just beautifully produced and scripted. I too love the mix of styles, and gentle storytelling. The narrative script is rich and is supported by great casting and and characterization 'you wanna be a bum or a Buddha or something...?' Above all I really enjoyed how this story was made even more intriguing with colourful moments like the diary photocopying, and the interesting back drop of imagery and locations like the shopping trolly, the riverside, and the mexican card playing. There wasn't s single part of this film that hadn't been carefully considered, and both the writing and imagery were stunning. Thank you for posting.
well done. i really liked the story and the narration. the animation was good and the rich storyline made it even better. good work.
Compelling narrative...why do we want to find out so much about nothing? I watched the whole thing, wanting to know more about how empty the world could seem yet how there are glimmers of intelligence and mystery worth living for.
was that a call out to Gummo when they were in the junk yard?
That was a great flick. I would like to see it in our festival.
