The Open City London Documentary Festival

Attention all documentary filmmakers - the extended deadline of March 10, 2011 is approaching for this new documentary film event:  Open City London Documentary Festival.

Set to launch in central London, the festival will run from June 16th-19th at UCL venues in Bloomsbury and at the Renoir Cinema. On the final day the awards will be presented at a gala event.

These impressive prizes will be awarded:

GRAND JURY PRIZE - £2000

MY STREET FILM PRIZES - £5000

BEST EMERGING DIRECTOR - £1000

BEST LONDON FILM - £1000

The jury for Open City London Documentary Festival includes:

Cristi Puiu - Chair of the jury, Director of The Death of Mr Lazarescu, awarded the Prix Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival in 2005

Pawel Pawlikowski - Director, BAFTA winning director of The Last Resort and My Summer of Love

Simon Chinn - Producer,  Oscar winning producer of Man on Wire and Project Nim

Penny Woolcock - Director, Director of 1Day, The Death of Klinghoffer and On The Streets
