The Smalls Short Film Fest – The Big Gathering of Small Films
The Awards for The Smalls Short Film Fest 2010 were presented on September 23rd, 2010 at The Gallery Soho in London.
Out of a truly mind-blowing selection of films our panel of judges chose A Cheeky 20 by Chris Fallen as the best film under 5min, and Grant St. Shaving Co. by Payal Sethi as the best film over 5min.
Additional awards were presented to best runner up in each category - Best Before by Mark Boggis (under 5min) and Will by Hannah Elizabeth Robbins (over 5min).
The winners each receive a £1,000 cash prize, and both winners and runners up were presented with the iconic "Smalls Pants" trophy in gold and silver.

The Smalls is proud to introduce The Smalls Short Film Fest 2010, an exciting 2-day event where we present the very best in short film from around the world and celebrate both established and new talent within independent cinema.
Now in our 5th year as a curator and supporter of short film this is also our 5th year presenting our annual film showcase, which will be part of The Smalls Short Film Fest 2010 – and we are working to make this year’s celebration extra special. We will screen a wide selection of exceptional short films and provide filmmakers with unique opportunities to meet and make contact with directors, writers and producers from the film and television industries. Prepare to be inspired, amused, entertained and maybe even provoked by the extraordinary program of films and special sessions that we have planned.
The Smalls Short Film Fest 2010, which includes this year’s public showcase, will be held at The Gallery Soho (125 Charing Cross Rd) during The London Design Festival on September 22 – 23. The best entries will win The Smalls Short Film Fest 2010 and pick up a £1,000 cash prize.
CALL FOR ENTRIES NOW OPEN
We welcome all filmmakers around the world, to submit your films to The Smalls Short Film Fest 2010. Here are some of the things you need to know:
Deadline to submit: September 6th, 2010
Rules: There are no rules except one - that your film should be no more than 15min long
Genres: You can submit films in any genre
Language/Nationality: All nationalities and language films are welcome (please provide non-English speaking films with subtitles)
Fee: It is FREE to submit to The Smalls Short Film Fest 2010
Prizes: £1,000 will be awarded in two categories: BEST UNDER 5 MIN and BEST OVER 5 MIN.
Jury: Judges from film, TV and advertising including Monique Frumberg, Sundance Channel and James Cunningham, Academy Films.
