Description

For the second single ‘Young Gold’ of the band’s debut album ‘Living with Ants’, Phillips and Conrad (A.K.A YUKIKO) juxtapose many short scenarios, building altogether a bigger picture that poetically describes the feelings and emotions behind the song. Each scene
playfully employs everyday objects and settings in bizarre, impossible and somewhat frustrating situations. Some include Mechanical Bride’s singer Lauren Doss in active and passive roles, trying to maintain control of the situations, but they leave her little choice but to
keep going or wait for a resolution. The ideas unfold in a
leapfrogging manner, accumulating into a beautiful finale that breaks the tension with chaotic consequences.
